Oh Cuckoo, but why ?

The garden, the garden..a garden of dreams
In winter, in summer, it always had spring
For, a Cuckoo did sing there sweet notes of love
Oh! so divine, those of motherly love!
But one day it rained so much
The Cuckoo flew high, the flowers did cry
The sun never smiled and breeze failed to kiss
The garden now laden, with fallen leaves and dreams
Cuckoo flew high..but why..Oh why?

The flowers asked Cuckoo, why..that you fly?
Cuckoo kept high, but never did reply.
The flowers asked Cuckoo, why you don’t sing
The Cuckoo kept high, never speaking why!
"Shall we just leap and reach you, please tell"
The Cuckoo but denied, as though in a spell.
There was then silence when flowers wept inside
With untold pain and memories that fade.

Cuckoo then glanced and there she declared:
"When the rains are once done,
‘n the clouds have just gone
I'll then come closer, closer to thee to sing.
I’ll bring with me, thy most dearest spring
For thy happiest days are yet now to come
And trust my dear..with me, soon yee fling."

Had the rains stopped, and have the clouds gone?
Little flowers waited and they stayed unaware!

Yet one pity truth, that always stood unfair
The Cuckoo flew far for those reasons unsure,
And the garden now stood still, with colors so mere.
